There wasn't a new episode of Grey's Anatomy last week so its fans had a couple of weeks to wait until the storylines get moving forward yet again (yes, right after they picked up pace during the last few episodes). To fill in that gap, Entertainment Weekly, courtesy of Michael Ausiello, reports that a lot will happen on Seattle Grace, things that will remind old Grey's fans of the good old times and resolve this similarly old blasted Denny storyline once and for all. Getting it out of the way, EW says that Izzie Stevens (Katherine Heigl) will, finally, get the blinding flash of the obvious. Denny (guest star Jeffrey Dean Morgan) was dropping hints like crazy, and we will get our first clues as to what Izzie is inflicted with exactly, other than perpetual and at times annoying perkiness.
As for those Grey's fans who were reminiscing of the good old days courtesy of the apartment scene on the eve of McMommy's arrival, Thursday's episode will supposedly feature “one of the funniest, all-female group hugs yet” plus a not-so-pleasant (but still hilarious) cafeteria scene and some girl-on-girl action. There were reports before that Arizona Robbins (guest star Jessica Capshaw) will potentially be a new love interest for Callie (Sara Ramirez). Capshaw is on Seattle Grace for just three episodes, but the girl was on The L Word so she must have some experience on the field.
Meanwhile, some of my fears are starting to come true, if Ausiello is to believed. There will be “lots of cheesy, slow-mo, piano-scored interludes” between Cristina (Sandra Oh) and Owen (Kevin McKidd), complicated by the fact that a woman from Owen's past will come a-knocking.
Finally, some news that won't sink well with the already edgy George (T.R. Knight) fans. George will reportedly be on screen for a grand total of – 10 seconds.
